Prairie Independent Living Resource Center, Inc. (PILR) is accepting resumes for a full-time Orientation and Mobility/Outreach Specialist. This individual must have a bachelor’s degree and be willing to further his/her education with post graduate work to become certified in Orientation and Mobility. In addition, this individual will provide outreach services, rehab teaching and Independent Living Skills training for consumers who are blind or visually impaired. This person will hold consumer focus groups and work collaboratively with our partners to develop curricula to educate other CILs in Kansas on techniques to assist individuals who are blind or visually impaired to remain independent in their own homes. Travel is required.
