Hurricane Gustav Update
Dear Members,
As Gustav potentially threatens the Mississippi Gulf Coast and other
coastal
regions, all of Mississippi's nonprofits need to be prepared for the
worst case
scenario. The Center is working with several partners to bring you the
latest
information regarding evacuations, donations, volunteering, and
resources. We will
continually update you as new information becomes available.

2-1-1 (www.211ms.com) , the state's emergency hotline, will be dedicated
to running
the hurricane recovery effort. 2-1-1 will have information on processing
large
donations, volunteering, and shelter information. Please dial 211 if you
would like
to ship large donations (Please view this list of needed items ) or if
you would
like to volunteer. If you are out-of-state, you may dial 1-866-472-8265
toll-free or
601-360-0450. You may also fax requests to 601-961-4617.
Please prepare you and your family to be able to sustain yourself for 72
hours.
This includes having enough food, clothes, gasoline, important papers
and documents
